Built for (and with) my former advertising co-worker and good buddy Ricky Lu, the SuperStrada is now quite the iconic Classified Moto creation. It represents complete creative (if not financial) freedom, since Ricky gave all our ideas the green light. For all its refinements, it still sports a healthy dose of Frankenstein like all CM abominations do. The 1980 Honda CB750F Super Sport is bookended by a Ducati Multistrada swing arm and Yamaha R6R front end, giving it that double take-inducing quality we always hope to achieve. The beast had the honor of being the 2013 bike of the year on bikeexif.com. That’s some pretty deluxe recognition right there. It spawned several other CM builds (and some non-CM ones, too), and the project was made all the more satisfying knowing it was going to one of our good friends.
