Classified Moto was born out of an urge to build something we hadn’t seen before — specifically, the merging of old Japanese bikes with modern inverted forks and a rough-around-the-edges attitude. The first of its kind was owner John Ryland’s 1980 Yamaha XS850 with a set of gold R6 forks. That was back in 2008, and since then that specific look has become a staple for garage builders and manufacturers alike. To keep ourselves entertained, we’ve used many different platforms, components and finish levels over the years, but the Classified look remains. And now that our new HQ is up and running, we’re stoked to evolve our style even more.
Moving forward, we’ll only be taking on projects that inspire us like that old XS did all those years ago. And we hope the bikes in our catalog will inspire first time builders to go out to the garage and create some magic.
